ABOUT US
St Albans Choral Society is one of the leading large amateur choirs in Hertfordshire, singing to a high standard in beautiful concert venues around the city and surrounding area.
With over 100 members, we usually perform four concerts a year, including one in St Albans Cathedral, with superb professional soloists and other musicians. In July 2025 we were delighted to welcome Charlie Perry as our new Music Director, and we also benefit from working with our talented accompanist Edward Kemp-Luck.

We rehearse on Thursday evenings from September until early July in a friendly and welcoming environment.
If you enjoy singing, have some musical experience (even if it’s from school days), and can sing in tune, why not come along and try us out? We welcome singers from all backgrounds. You will be sure of a warm welcome and an uplifting musical experience. You are welcome to contact us anytime.
We welcome potential new members to a rehearsal at the start of each term, in September, January and April. Currently the choir is at maximum capacity and we are not able to accept new members at the moment. We will review the situation in September 2026 when our new season starts.
